# Overview

The internal ledger and our ecosystem will be powered by the Gas Token. Our token is a pure utility token and will not be used for anything except for paying for services, staking and community governance.

The token essence and economy is tailored to provide protocol self-sufficiency and to incentivise the community and backers.

The token serves many objectives, which includes but not limited to (1) staking, (2) transactional and swap fees (3) KYT fees, (4) integration/processing fees for any services provided on internal ledger by 3rd parties, and (5) governance.
